City Giving Day is taking place on Tuesday 27 September this year. It is a day when companies across
London act at the same time to promote and celebrate their charity and community work. It is a fantastic
chance for the whole of the City (and beyond!) to showcase the vast amount of time given and people
supported through its corporate social responsibility work – it’s a chance to show the good the City does. Last
year over 200 businesses took part, holding a whole host of different activities in each of their offices, some
of whom were visited by the Lord Mayor, the Lady Mayoress and the Sheriffs. In addition it is estimated that
over £350,000 was raised on the day for charity. The Lord Mayor’s Appeal team co-ordinates the event and
is striving to double the numbers this year. They have already managed to get over 120 businesses signed
up. Please visit www.thelordmayorsappeal.org/city-giving-day/supporters/ to see the full list of companies
that are taking part this year.
