The European Atlantic Group (EAG) is one of the longest- running interest groups associated with the UK Parliament. It was formed in 1954 to foster a geopolitical partnership between North America and Europe, and to consider related matters in all quarters of the globe. Tonight was their 70th anniversary event.
The EAG is fiercely proud of its reputation for robust and thought provoking debate. They proved it tonight with a great lecture, question and answer session with Dr. David Starkey who left all with many thoughts on the state of nations, laws and how they have been shaped by their history. His ability to provoke thought and debate is what we need more of in the discourse of how to solve our problems.
