The Commonwealth of 56 nations is an amazing community. Commonwealth countries share many links through family, business, non-governmental organisations, sport, culture, education, law, and charity. Those ties built over so many years unite 2.7 billion people, and have a tremendous reach, so tonight it was wonderful to support that connection celebrating charitable origins of the commonwealth going back to the 1870s.
