London is not one metropolis, at its heart is the City, the part the Romans founded, and which does many unique things for the nation and wider metropolis.
One of those gems is the City of London Police’s unique expertise in fraud, intellectual property and economic crime.
Indeed it is the National Lead Force for Fraud, and plays a vital role in tackling cyber crime, protecting the UK’s economic security, keeping the Square Mile safe, and supporting the Government’s ambitions for growth and public safety.
Explaining this and many other things we do was part of our parliamentary reception this evening as we sought to engage with the national politicians in Westminster. There is no shortage of ambition and desire to see digital services but we also need digital safety and an understanding of the global economy linked to London, tonight took our message to Parliament and it was good to see so many MPs and Peers there.
