Constable of the Tower
Royal Marines

Tonight the Constable of the Tower of London entertained guests with the Royal Marines Band, as part of showing off the Tower.  It is world famous and is in my view the most impressive Royal Palace. I’m very fortunate to be a member for Tower Ward that abuts it.
History comes alive in places like the Tower, such venues have huge value in connecting us to our past.  The Constable used this evening to explain the great vision of the Historic Royal Palaces (a charity) to reach a wider audience especially of young people. I hope many get the chance to visit as part of their programme. The City of London has many hidden gems, so when visiting the Tower I encourage everyone to venture further and take in the City! #DestinationCity
