One of the strengths of English dispute resolution is its many specialist courts, judiciary and practitioners, alongside arbitration offerings, which permit for the development of law and procedure to a highly refined degree, followed or emulated in many jurisdictions abroad. Tonight I was treated to an evening with current and former judges celebrating our innovation in Technology Dispute Resolution. One of the key speakers was the fabulous Lady Justice Carr, who we recently learnt will become the new Lord Chief Justice of England in October! She gave a fascinating talk on the real world impacts of our court decisions looking especially at the Technology and Construction Court, which this year celebrates its 150th birthday. England and the UK are lucky to have some excellent judges that help keep us a key global choice for dispute resolution. #law #arbitration #technology
